TKLambert
-I have numerous pictures of bucks, with several shooters. -Ive helped several people drag their bucks out of the woods so far, and they talk about how early they came out and how many came out -And I have a scrape under a tree that I have one of my stands hanging in.... I know that I need to have patiences, but not seeing any of the deer I have pics of and everything else is getting me antsy..... I am making sure everything is right too when I hunt so I can increase my odds, but all the deer seem to be doing is laughing at me..... sorry I needed to vent and its been so long since Ive shot a buck because I have been trying to manage them. BearClaw
Patience is a key in bowhunting but other factors as well. Is your clothing free of scents, do you shower with the unscented products including deodorant? How is your walk to your stand? Do you scare deer on the way in? Are you wearing rubber, scent free boots. How about the wind? Have you left a lot of human scent in the area at any time? A lot of factors can effect deer movement. If you've done your homework and you are sure deer use the area, and it appears they do, then just be patient. Yes, it can be frustrating but hang in there and let us know what happens! arrow32
Do what bearclaw said. The rubber scentfree boots are a huge plus. If you don't have them I would look into getting them muck boots makes an awesome one instilated and all. If the area looks like it has good deer activity then keep hunting it but not every day. If not move to different location. If not move to a different place.

wtnhunt
Patience pays off eventually. Dont know however that I would hunt from a tree with a scrape in it, kind of prefer to have the attention in the area but not drawn directly under me. TKLambert
I have actually set up a ground blind about 50 yards away from that tree that has my stand in it for that reason. Be a little hard shootin through the floor at that buck and plus I wanna keep the scent out of there. Quick question about that scrap...... Since there are 2 very nice mature bucks in the area of the scrap, do you think that puttin something like tarseal supreme or buck urine in the scrap would make the buck that created it move active on it since there are 2 mature bucks in the area? Or would doe urine or estrious work better. Rut comes in normally in about week to 2 weeks from now.
shockwave
From my experience, if you know the area you hunt, and you know the deer you hunt, and it shouldn`t be a problem for you to wait one out.. I had a problem with squirrel hunters spooking the deer i hunt to posted property (deer can read) lol, all i did was hunt a funnel close to the posted property and i started harvesting deer.. Use patience, think like a deer, and be as scent free as you can and you`ll harvest one..
