carbonhunter
I shoot a biscuit, and really love it. i dont know if it is better than anyother or not, i think it depends on your needs, I dont recommend it if you are only a 3-d shooter or such, but i do think it is the best HUNTING rest made. I have shot two prongs and dropaways and they are great, especially for 3-d but when hunting its nice to not have to worry about the arrow staying on the rest come crunch time. hoyt19
Re: Whisker Biscuit I have used a biscuit since they first came out and wouldnt not use anyother rest on my hunting bows, however if i was doing 3d i would use a NAP 4000. As for fletching wear I have noticed this, but mine tend to get better with use. All my biscuits seem to have the fibers loosen where the fletching goes through after a few weeks of shooting. Good luck
buckee
Re: Whisker Biscuit I've used the Whisker biscuit for 2 years now and really like it. I finally found the rest for me. Easy to tune, simple, and it works.
robk
Re: Whisker Biscuit the bisquit was designed to be a hold the arrow on the rest and keepit form falling off the rest like happens a lot with other styles of rests. it is a good rest but not the quietest of the containment rests the golden key futura is much quieter and since they fixed the disc it is a last forever type of rest. it won't freeze or change when wet like the bisquit does and even witht he stuff you spray on the bisquit you can still get the bisquit to be noisy and not very effective. this is from testing i have done personally so remember this is form personal testing and it was with no addatives to either. the bisquit will work with helical but the disk it's shortcoming now is either straight or very little offset vaens or feathers. both will do the job but i think the overall would go the disk for me. my personal favorite is what i shoot all the itme the mirage drop away. you can set it up play some skin on the shelf of the riser and up the riser a few inches and when you lay the bow on it;s side when your sitting in your blind or treestand it won't fall off and when ready to shoot just bring the bow up and the arrow will catch the lifting arm of the rest and center itself out wihtout any adjustment. this rest you get no fletching touching once the shot is off there is no fletching contact and a smoother release of the arrow rob k
MUDRUNNER
Re: Whisker Biscuit THE WB IS THE BEST REST I'VE EVER USED.I AGREE WITH CARBONHUNTER.IT MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST REST FOR 3-D SHOOTS,BUT IN MY OPINION IS THE BEST HUNTING REST ON THE MARKET. TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Whisker Biscuit I might start saving what I say to this question and then cut and paste because it is asked all the time and I always give the same answer: Great for hunting...actually it is perfect for hunting.... but not if your going to do a lot of shooting like at tournaments or doing a lot of practicing...unless you like to re-fletch your arrows all the time, But I also shoot alot thought too. I had 2 of them and liked them but once I started to shoot tournaments and doing a lot of practicing, it killed my fletchings.JMO
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Whisker Biscuit Best HUNTING rest out there, in my opinion. I shoot A LOT. Hunting, practice, techno leages, etc. I use the WB for everything. I go through a buscuit per year. Carbon arrows woller out the hole when you shoot as much as I do, but it is the price to pay for such a great rest. I don't think the new buscuit is that bad on fletchings. I shoot primarily feathers and I still say that feathers last longer than vanes through a WB. My love affair with my WB is going on 3 years and I can't be happier. I'm looking forward to seeing what WB has new in 2005.
robk
Re: Whisker Biscuit i shot the bisquit for for a couple of years and i know what they do and i have tested with them the disk is quieter and the new disk do work for a long time and as for the bisquit it is a good rest and will always be a top seller but as i said before i prefer the drop away. the containment are just what they are containment rests and they will affect the arrow no matter what is said. the design is a great idea for hunters because the whether it's the bisquit or the disk they will keep a hunter form losing a shot with any arrow either popping off the rest when coming to full draw or falling off the rest when it is laying on the shooters lap and he forgets and takes his finger off the rest. there will always be a place for containment rests and one day there will be one that will do and be everything that everyone wants til then there will be opinions about which is best the bisquit or the disk. the one reason until i went to the drop away that i shot the wb was i shot turbo nocks and i spent many many hours shooting them thru the bisquit and got them to hammer out 70 yards though i would never try to shoot an animal that far away. every rest gkf makes or nay other company makes will work some better than others. it'a all a matter of preference and opinons well when you ask an open question and someone has had a good or bad expierence with them your going to hear about it. gkf has been aroudn for the archer many more years than most have been around and they still sell the most of any other rest built. one day someone might pass them by but then again maybe not. if your happy with the bisquit then great and if yoru not there are other styles and other containment rests out there. good luck and good hunting rob k

Switchback29A1
Re: Whisker Biscuit I got one this year and love it.....to keep your fletchings from coming off just put a little dab of glue on the tip of each vain and they won't come off.
