WiHunter813
So i learned an important lesson today. That even though something states its free on tv, their website and diclaimer its probably not. I was interested what my credit score was being im looking the buy a home soon and saw an ad for a free credit report. logged on their website and started filling out the form it asked for a cc # the help establish an account and so if you want to use other services they offer it could be charged. So i got about that far and it asked if i was ok to charge this card for service. I thought to my self that this could be a trick and id get charged for not cancelling before my trial period was up so a decline and closed the interent window. Today im balancing my checking account online and see a charge i never authorized. come to find out they charge me anyway:mad: So now tommorrow i get the call their customer service prolly wait on hold for an hour or so and try to get my money back. I also filed a complaint with the federal trade commision, I wonder how many other people had this happen to since there is now a website where you can file complaints about only freecreditreport.com and the have the ftc website right at the top O well i learned my lesson
Guest "BIGTYME"
Yeah we tried it a few years ago. As soon as it said enter CC# I logged off. It ought to be illegal for them to that. I would take it up with the BBB and file a complaint.
Washi
Surprisingly the only place to get a free credit report is www.annualcreditreport.com
Steven
It clearly states in the commercial that the offer requires enrollment in triple advantage. You do get 1 credit report free, from 1 bureau, score not included. So it's not misleading, you get exactly what they say. And by entering your cc info and clicking submit, you authorized the transaction, You may get your money back, but probably not.
stevebeilgard
just a typical scam to get your money. when you see multiple big money ads, you should know that it won't really be "free". and it's not. but, we all tried once..... so you're not alone. MCH
Even on www.annualcreditreport.com you cannot get a "credit score". All you get with the free report is what is reported. To get your credit score, you will have to pay. Unless its changed since the last time I accessed it for a customer.
