Guest bighorns2bushytails
hello everybody. i am new to the forums but have been enjoying reading them the last few days. just thought i would share a trick i figured out the other day concerning drying your hydration bladders (the ones that go in the fancy new backpacks etc)... i was having a hard time drying mine out in a timely manner. id let it sit flat on the table with the lid off for days and there still seemed to always bee moisture left inside the thing. i racked my brain to think of how to dry it. paper towls didnt seem to work that great and only soaked up the bulk of it. plus its hard to get a towl and your hand inside one of those openings. i was scared to put just anything inside there in fear of damaging the bladder... so finally to keep my 2 year old from grabbing and pulling the darn thing off the table i took the hose and folded it inside the bladder part. what i stumbled upon was a great way to raise the bladder to allow it to dry in timely manner. so basically just take the tube, fold it up slid it inside the bladder and let it sit out like normal. wont damage the bladder and keeps everything together in one place. i know its not rocket science, but when i did it the proverbial light bulb came on over my head so i just thought id share it with you all. --nyles
