Had a chance to meet Randy and his dad at the grand opening of a new Cabela's store in Indiana this past weekend. What outstanding people they are! Got to see his show for the first time as well. I don't know how he can hit 1 of those lifesaver candies with an arrow, let alone, several at once! If you ever get the chance to see him perform, by all means, do it! You won't be disappointed.

I'm jealous:D

I'm going to meet Randy one of these days. I wish there were more mentors like Randy out there, for the youth today. Heck, Randy's a mentor for the old as well. ;):D

Well said, that's all i'll say about that..

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. I was just going to post that I met Bill and that he is a great person to hang out with. We had a great time at the show and on Sat. night he invited me and my dad to a hayrack ride with his church youth group. We had hotdogs and a lot of fun. Chilly but fun! I am sorry I haven't been on here much but I have been hunting at home everyday. I saw a nice 150 on my own farm today but it was too dark. The sun was going down but I did get him on video. I filmed a turkey hunt with the NWTF on our family farm and I shot a double bearded jake for the NWTF Turkey call magazine that will air in Jan. I will let everyone know what the date will be when I find out. You won't believe it till you see it on their show, After I had shot the jake we were talking about the hunt and one of the cameramen was about 30 yards away from me over a little hill and the other cameraman was with me,I hear them say, Randy big BUCK coming. I look up and at 90 yards I see a 200 class buck on my property!! I tell these cameramen you don't understand , very few hunters ever get to see a buck this big. They only know about turkeys. They did get him on film, short clip but you can see how big he is.

I hope I get a chance to see, video or even better yet shoot him But , if I don't ever see him again I won't forget how magnificent it was seeing him gracefully run along my timber.

I will try and check in at night. I have been getting up at 3:30am and coming in at 6:00pm, eating and going to sleep.

Everyday since I got home from IN. I wish everyone the best of luck this season. By the looks of the bowhunting room there are many nice deer to be proud of.

I have met several forum members and they have all been the greatest people but this is the best forum with the best friends.:)

Randy
