mjbmxz
I was looking to get one of these type of sights for my shotgun, but a friend of mine said you can lose the dots in early morning and late evening sun. Has anyone ever had a problem with this. Thanks
Strut10
You might have a problem losing the dot if you're looking directly toward the sun. Maybe. I've never had any issues in the 7 or 8 years I've been using a red-dot.
mjbmxz
See, I've never heard of that happening before, so I wanted to ask people who had them.
brownie65
I have used one for several years. Have never had a problem. During the brighter part of the day I turn my dot up to one of the higher #'s, of course in the morning I have it set pretty low. I like them, they work great. mjbmxz
I bought a bushnell 1x28 red dot scope and I have no problem losing the dot in early morning, mid day, or evening sun. I'm glad I bought it.
natethebowhunter
so are the red dots definately worth buying???
brownie65
I think so. I really like them. I have a Bushnell that I really like. Got a new Pentax. I like it that it is open & easy to see thru. If you are used to shooting open sites this is a good one. I cannot give a good review on it yet as have not got it sighted in & hunted with it yet. Probably won't get that done this year.

I love my red dot scope and I highly recommend them. Next year I am upgrading to this red dot scope,http://www.aimpoint.com/o.o.i.s?id=28&prev_id=28&product_id=
