NY_Bowhunter14
i'd go with Reflex, its made by Hoyt but at a cheaper price... i have a reflex excursion myself and love it! as for rests, you can't go wrong with a trophy taker drop-away rest... again i to have one and love it... arrow32
Myself buying a new bow right now and I am well really 2. I'm getting myself another hoyt and keeping the one I just bought this summer. Getting this one for 3D. Also getting Katy one. Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Daimond all make good bows. The Kid
Mathews are a very smooth bow kinda pricey but i love my switchback. I also have the trophy ridge dropaway again kinda pricey but it will last you forever if you take good care of it. Never shot a hoyt or a bowtech but i hear there pretty good too
Guest bigalt78
i just bought the new pse firestorm x and i love it. it is the smoothest bow out there next to the switchback xt in my opinion. the firestorm x is so fast and quiet i would shoot it if i were you. TnLungBuster
First of all, make sure you shoot a bunch of different bows. Everything ranging from a single cam to dual cam and different ATA lengths. I personaly shoot a Mathews and that is what shot best for me out of the ones that I tried. When you do go and shoot make sure to try the Mission line of bows. I was very impressed with the bang for the buck. Good luck
Guest bow_hunter101
Fred Bear Instinct is a heck of a bow for the price. It's the perfect bow for me, really light, short axle-to-axle length, and fast!
Guest Finn
These are just what I like. There are tons of quality bows, sights and rests out there. It's largely a personal choice as they all will do the job well. I love my Switchback XT - smooth, quiet and no vibration, not cheap though. I also like my QAD rest, but might have liked the LD model better. I just have the hunter model which was under $50. Works great, but a little more sound than the LD. Not sure the LD is worth double the price. I can't imagine paying more for sights than I paid for my Copper John Dead Nutz hunter - $59 or so. Really like it. Eric
Shoot as many brands as you can. I shot alot of them and the Hoyt just felt the best for me. Hoyt, Mathews, Fred Bear and Bowtech are all good bows. Its just up to you which one feels the best when shooting. I would get a whisker bisquit or drop away rest. As far as sights there are alot of good brands.

Squirrelhunter91
Shoot as many different bows as you can in your price range. I shoot a Ross CR331. Best shooting bow I've ever shot.
