ChasinTail
I spoke in an earlier post about a spot I have been given permission to hunt that I was ecstatic about. It is where I killed my biggest buck to date and it has not been hunted since. Well I was wrong about that part! I did some last minute scouting for our opening day tomorrow. When I arrived at the gate, I found it broken off the hinges. When I walked into my favorite spot of this property where I have seen lots sign, I found a carcass of a deer, halfway cleaned (looks like they left everything but the loin and back strap) and sawed off antlers! Next to the deer was an empty 12 pack of beer and a pile of human poop with rolled up toilet paper. Are people really this bad?? Trespassing, littering, poaching, and morally wasting an animal! I called the landowner and she was furious too. What a sad sight! I am starting to find less and less reason to appreciate my fellow man! Guest bowhunter56
Yes, sad to say , people are really like that. I am not surprised any more as to what humans do to each other and everything around us.

Guest FL-Cracker
Yup...it's sad. I found a buck on the side of the road two weeks ago that had his horns and backstraps cut out and just left there. Luckily he was still fresh and I was able to recover him... People are sick, that's for sure...
Shawn
people have no morals anymore. Some people just need to be taught a lesson, they'll get theirs someday.
archerjg
That is really sick and sad that someone would do that. Archerjg
ChasinTail
Well I hunted another piece of this property this morning. When the sun came up, I found myself looking across at a brand new hang on treestand bolt locked onto a tree. I was pretty angry at that but then after 30 more minutes, I heard this guys auto feeder kick on out of my view. After the hunt I walked over to the stand and found his feeder about 20 yards away from his stand. I went ahead and took his feeder, his tree steps, and left a note to call me! Lets see what happens! He sure is brazen!

davetucker
is that state illegal to have feeders out and does that guy have permision to have his stand there?just wondering why you were mad enough to take his stuff and do you suspect he was the one who poached the other deer. ChasinTail
Davet, It is legal to hunt corridors to a feeder but not overlooking a feeder which is what this guy was doing. Also, my dad and I are the only ones aloud to hunt this property and we called the landowner to double check too! She actually had us get liabilty insurance to hunt here and this guy is just doing what he wants to do for free. I think I am going to give his stuff over to the gamewarden who is a family friend.
