VABuckSlayer
Here is a pic of a piebald deer I shot last year with my T/C Omega. I was walking up to look down a powerline when this deer caught my eye at a little over 100 yards. At first I thought it was a trash bag in the woods. When I glassed her I thought it was a goat. Then realized it was a deer. I crawled to within 80-90 yards of her and dropped her with one shot. I had the hide tanned and have it hanging at the house. It was a pretty neat deer. I shot another one last year too but not as white as this one. Eric

Ohiobucks
Re: My 2003 piebald doe Cool deer Eric! I have to get up some pictures of a piebald buck my grandfather ended up with. Got a shoulder mount and the hide tanned. Very cool!
VABuckSlayer
Re: My 2003 piebald doe Mudrunner, I'm not sure exactly but what I've always heard is because of inbreeding when you have too many deer. We have that problem. Way too many does. Eric

IowaDeerHunter
Re: My 2003 piebald doe I hope to see one someday, but if you do then that means you have bad genes going around, I think. If it is caused by inbreeding. They are ilegal in Iowa so I will never have he chance to take one. Nice deer though, very pretty.

RangerClay
Re: My 2003 piebald doe Nice deer! Remember that piebald deer unlike albinos are actually bad genetics for a deer herd and should be eliminated whenever seen during season!!! Ranger [/ QUOTE ] ESP !! time again..LOL I was just going to ask if this was a product of bad genetics..unlike the Albino which is rare and is not of bad genetics, but don't usually as a rule survive long becuase of their inability to blend into their surroundings... But congrats on the piebald, it's a nice converstion piece and great for the freezer...

I think if I was in your shoes, by the time I figures out what I was looking at, I probaly would have missed the oppurtunity. It must be such a shock to see such an abnormal deer. It does look goat like.
