Tominator
Where's all the O State fans at???? Must have jumped OFF the bandwagon, LOL!!! What do you want us to say? "Yeah, we're glad our team got beat?" Sounds to me like they got beat, I wouldn't know, I was in a tree all day.
buckbuster11
I'm sure there was a 6 day layoff between games, or one of Ohio State's WR's forgot to tie their shoes correctly, or Ron Zook sent Bill Bellicheck into Columbus as a spy to secretly tape Ohio State's practices. I mean something happened that somehow allowed the Fighting Illini to win that game. It surely wasn't Ohio States fault.
Tominator
It surely wasn't Ohio States fault. Boy it's easy to pick on a team when you don't claim a team, eh John? Get in the arena so we can pick on your team, eh?
Ohiobucks
I mean something happened that somehow allowed the Fighting Illini to win that game. You mean like that first Illinois "TD" that wasn't really a TD, right? You saw it, I saw it, that was a catch then fumble......the refs really blew that one..... muggs
As much as they almost do go undefeated every single year, it's not really realistic to think they'll be able to do it all the time. Oh well, I'll take a one loss season with a win overf Michigan and yet another BCS game anytime. You would too John- unfortunately- neither one of the garbage programs you pull for can manage to make the big games let alone the Championship game. Too bad though, we'd roll right over LSU and Kansas. Ron Zook is building a program over there at Illi.
buckbuster11
Almost Undefeated LOL!!! Yeah, the Pirates almost go undefeated every year too. So Ohio State would crush LSU and Kansas just like they were going to crush Florida last year right? BTW--LSU would hammer Ohio State. muggs
The whole "LSU would hammer OSU" thing is becoming the DB mantra. You know, because the SEC is "faster" then the Big Ten. Please give me a break. Yet said DB's, much like yourself John, continue to miss the obvious. The Big Ten was 2-1 vs. the SEC in Bowl games last year. So really, how is that point valid? Sure, the Buckeyes did get their doors blown off, but just because they weren't prepared to play and the Gators were shouldn't be enough reason to immediately dismiss the Big Ten. The Big Ten is always dissed, yet every year they win the conference edge in Bowl games against the "power conferences." OSU is the best team in the country. LSU was yesterday's sexy pick, and if you still think they're that good...then you haven't seen Matt Flynn play QB and you didn't see them lose to Kentucky...in football!!! OSU doesn't get the credit because they're not a sexy team. Sweater Vest football isn't about flash. It's grind it out, play for field pocession and get the "W." That's it. buckbuster11
Big Ten vs. SEC records don't mean a hill of beans. I hate when people bring that up. Illinois beating Arkansas or something doesn't have any bearing whatsoever on how LSU and Ohio State are going to play. I don't care who's conference is better then who. LSU is better then Ohio State, and if they play each other for the national championship, which they won't, LSU will win.
muggs
LSU is better then Ohio State, and if they play each other for the national championship, which they won't, LSU will win. Wow, bold statement there bud- seeing how that scenario has absolutely no chance of ever happening...you're really going out on a limb... What else are you going to throw out? "If I bump into Jennifer Anniston, I will get her number" or "If I had the opportunity to fight Mike Tyson in his prime, I would beat him in a 12-round slug fest" or "If I can run faster than the girl, I will lose my virginity." Nice try man, but let's face the facts. OSU one of the top programs...ALWAYS. USC is there, but they really just burst onto the scene recently, Miami lost it...but the Buckeyes just keep on turning out fantastic seasons, 1st round talent and BCS bowl appearances. It's easy to hate when a program is on top- especially when they're always on top. btw- DB's like yourself said that Miami squad would roll over the Bucks in '02 and that they had no business being there...look what happened with that. buckbuster11
LOL....what are you talking about? You just said 5 replies earlier that OSU would beat LSU....so why are you telling me that it's a weak prediction to pick LSU over OSU because "it will never happen" when you just predicted the same freaking game yesterday?? You must drive your woman absolutely nuts.

Guest Andrea
Someone has "selective memory". I do recall listening to Muggsy rant and rave about his team of "nuts" all last season....only to get his feelings hurt come game day. National Champs anyone??????? toddyboman
Im not a big college football fan but I do believe one of the strongest conferences this year is the Big 12.. KS-3 OK-4 MU-5 TX-
muggs
I think the top two conferences right now are the SEC and the Pac-10. Oklahoma is legit, but I'm not sold on Kansas or Mizzou. After those two though, I'd say the Big 12 is next.
