rhine16
My brother, Andrew, killed this buck yesterday afternoon around 4:30. The buck scores 122". Brief story- I dropped Andrew off at the stand when we finished cutting our last yard yesterday around 3. I went home, unloaded the mower, showered and headed back. I arrived back around 4 and told him i was going to a food plot up above him to bow hunt. I told him to be ready since there would be a chance of deer bedded between me and him. When i finally got to my tree, i checked my phone to see no messages so i figured i didnt run anything out. I hooked my climber and climbed up. As i had just made it to the height i was going i heard him shoot. I stopped and just waited for him to call. It wasn't a minuter later when i got the call. He said, "I just shot a good buck, but there was a bigger one behind him. Oh my gosh, I didnt see him till after i shot. He was so big." All i could do was try to calm him(and think how stupid he was ). He voice was shaking so bad and i couldnt tell if he was about to cry or what . So i headed to him. I walked from the stand to where he thought the deer was. Just as he said that's where he was, i found a pile of good lung blood. We found the buck about 40 yards from the shot. Shot placement couldnt have been better. I'm not sure how big the other was, but he's definitely happy with this one. He's an 8 with a 14 1/4 outside spread. Grosses 122 1/8". Weighed in at 175#. On top of all this, the buck was also entered in to a contest at our church. Andrew's was definitely the biggest. He won a Remington youth model 7mm-08 which he is planning to give to our other brother Jon Reuben(6 years old). BTW- The church event was great. Some where around 25 youth and their hunting partners showed up. Here are pics of the deer: Only trail cam pic of him. He's on right Andrew and deer. Wanted to take pics this morning, but it was too hot to let the deer sit. Congratulations Andrew!

rhine16
Congratulations Andrew! If that was the small buck...my goodness, I'd like to see the bigger one. Exactly what i said. My guess is that it's the buck that is with him in the trail cam pic. I dont believe that buck is bigger though
