Guest Virginia country boy
Ok we have two game cameras (game spy 100) set up on our farm. One is at the feeder and one is on a hot trail. The feeding site is tore up. Turkey tracks are everywhere and deer tracks are on the trail and at the feeding site. However, the cameras have failed to take any pictures of them. Anyone have any idea why the cameras are not working right or am I doing something wrong. I have read the instructions over and over, even went back to the default settings and nothing. Any suggestions?
Leo
If the camera will take pictures of you messing around it then it's probably an aiming issue. Use the laser to aim it and make sure you aren't over shooting the deer. It's real easy to aim the camera too high. If the laser hit's you just below the knee where you think the deer will be that's about right.
98chevy
I did the same thing with my moultree. I changed the aim down and boom my 13 - 14 pics a week where deer all this time.
natethebowhunter
i have a moultrie too and i use the laser aim and stand about 20 feet away and make sure is is at my waist or slightly above and that works real well for me. wtnhunt
Make sure you do not have the cam aimed too high. In the past I used to take my kids with me from time to time and have them walk in front of the pir to make sure the cam would pick up on a deer sized animals level. From what you say here, would have to agree that it sounds like an aiming issue. Welcome to the forums.
Missilelock
use a dog I set my laser at waist height at 20 feet with good luck.try hanging your camera in the yard & let a good sized dog play around in the target area & see how your camera works:)
Rem308
Hope it's just the height of the laser, somethings in there!
