We call them ringtail cats, not sure if there is any other names for them or not. Cool assortment of pics Tonya. Those ring tailed cats are something you just dont see pics of every day. nolanspawn Posted November 14, 2007 Report Share Posted November 14, 2007 I actually had a nice entounter with a ringtal here in texas about 5-6 years ago. I got in my stand and had been in there for about 2 hours and sent to rest my feet against the carpet that was on the wall. All the sudden I heard growling. A ringtail had made himself a nice hiding spot in between the wall and the carpet. He proceeded to peak his head out and scare the crap out of me. I immediately got out of my stand and hoped he would come out. He eventually did when he realized I wasn't leaving. Crazy little critters.
