Interesting ad-find your deer

Looking through the paper here the other day saw an advertisement that caught my attention. The ad read something to the effect that for $40 this person would find and help you recover your hard to find or lost deer. Guaranteed or you dont pay. With the recent posts about lost deer, could not help but wonder if this type of thing is common elsewhere, if so may be worth checking into.

Nothing like that around here, we cant even use dogs legally to recover lost deer.Plus you have to be properly licensed for the season thats open shotgun, bow ML etc and you can only get licensed for 2 of them bow and one gun season, a guy cant help someone track a deer legally if hes not licensed in that season.Kinda dumb IMO, its like they dont want you to find the deer after you shoot it in some cases

I know of several guys that do it professionally here in Texas, but it's a LOT more than $40.

Yeah, with gas prices where they are $40 does seem kind of low. Guess if the person doing the searching is that good and you have one you are having trouble with, $40 could potentially save you a lot of time. Think I will clip the ad and hang on to the number. Never know.

Your supposed to charge? lol

we do it for free around here, but only for people we know in our community. I ain't going out in the woods with a bunch of guys I don't know.........................

But me and Dad have been called in past years to help track down a deer, and we have called for back-up before too. It seems that I always end up helping my cousin and another fella that hunts the farm when it somes time to track down a deer. I have pretty good luck with it, Dad showed me how to track when I was young, but I must confess I'm a pain and I know it. I don't want anyone walking ahead of the last blood I find unless you know what your doing so I spend alot of time telling people to back up and stay put.

I am also trying to train a blue tick beagle to track, Heaven help me.........
