I found a good deal on one, and I am really considering buying it. it is a completely rebuilt 1984 Chevy. New body, new transmission, new engine, custom interior, custom sound system, AND brand new tires, of my choice, which will be a set of BF Goodrich MudTerrains. When I get it I want to put a new exhaust on it, lift it probally four or five inches, and put a headache rack with a toolbox on it. The truck is black and it's mine for $5,000.

My fist vehicle was a 85 Chevy S-10. Shortly after getting it. I started cutting it up:D. I dropped it 6" in the front and 8" in the back. Had to C notch the frame for the rear axle to clear. Shaved off the door and tailgate handles, and did lots of body moulding on it. Painted it the brightest teal blue I could find. hen I moved on to the inside. Cut the rear part of the cab out into the bed and loaded it with 4- 18" subs and 3 extra batteries and amp racks. Did alot of truck shows back then, and sure wish I had all of that money back now:D

Well, what I wanted was a used Toyota 4x4 that was red, jacked up with KC lights. But my Dad had other ideas. So I wound up with a brand new 1990 Toyota Tercel instead. I didn't complain. I still took it out in the woods and got it stuck a couple of times. LOL

I can't remember the specifics but my first vehicle was a 1953 ford coupe with a flat-head V8 and three speed on the column. Paid $30.00 for it when I was 12 years old. The man on the adjoining farm had taken good care of it but I tortured it. I used to race it down the lane from the barn, through the orchard and on to the end of our property. As long as I stayed out of the fields I was okay. There was one old brush field that got used as a race track. Rolled her over a few times and it never left a dent, as they used real metal back in those days. I used an old garden hose as a seat belt, which was pretty innovative come to think of it. Yes...those were the days.
