BEEF Posted November 17, 2007 Report Share Posted November 17, 2007 Kind of a strange story; Illinois gun season is here and usally see deer running everywere . Well first day i only see a small doe and a small buck . Then at 330 this guy walks by at 75 yards , the t/c encore hit the mark right in the heart . He jumps and runs down a hill out of sight. I here a crash and go ahead and get down out of the stand . I walk to the shot and see good blood then i walk over the hill and see him laying there but his right side antler was gone so i think he lost it fighting and i didnt see it when he was walking. then i glance to my right and there the antler was stuck in the tree . He died head first running down the hill in to the tree. what a sight . He was 201lbs field dressed , 12pt with the drop tine and another kicker.
