Hoyt03
What steps do most people take when cleaning their muzzleloaders? On the TC video G Ritz just said use #13 bore cleaner or patches until they come out clean, then dry patch it, then use bore butter. And for the breech just use some bore cleaner, same as above and super lube before putting the breech plug back in. I have been doing it this way but are there others steps I should take? What should I wipe down the outside of the gun/barrel with, it's stainless?
Tominator
That's about exactly what I do. My barrel is blued though, and I just put a light coat of oil on it.
wtnhunt
Blued barrel here too, I have started using rem oil inside and out for rust preventative after cleaning. Last cleaning of my ml I used iosso bore cleaner, and it will be all I use anymore, it took the light rust in the grooves right out of my barrel with a little brushing.
