Guest Droptine_316
I took my son for the Youth season two years ago and he shot a Half racked 8 pointer that only had the left antler of 4 points I had seen it earlier bowhunting when it had both. Last year we hunted hard and came home with a small doe the last day but this year we had a monster buck season. He missed a nice little 6 pointer in the morning on Saturday the first day of the season. We looked for 2 hours to finally discover a sapling blowed in half at 30 yards. While looking for blood and tracking where the 6 went we came to the big woods where we were hunting.Standing there looking around for sign we seen what looked like a big 12 pointer and a big 10 pointer and 2 does walking around in the woods. We were about 50 yards away and it was too thick to shoot. We backed out and found the sapling he shot. We went back at 1:50 that afternoon and sat down.At about 2 we decided to try some rattling/grunting.At 2:06 that big 12 walked out looked and scent checked the wind.I had hung a Tinks 69 Doe in Rut scent bomb out at about 35 yards. He smelled it and came in to the bomb but he was 20 to 25 yards from us and at 2:10 my son shot him. After waiting 45 minutes even though we could see him we went to get him.Once upon him we found that he was a 20 point Monster. He has 17 scorable points. Both brow tines are split and he has good mass.I will post pics tomorrow.I estimated it to be from 148 to 152 B&C.Tell me what you think when I get the pics on here. Tominator
Wow, that's awesome. Looking forward to the pics. I took my son out for the first time using the new "apprentice license." He shot a button buck last night at 80 yards or so with my T/C Encore.
