VermontHunter
The Nuge and his shows are bit on the odd side at times,, but the man doe's alot for our sport of hunting and for the cause of our right to bear arms .. ;) He's surely one CRAZY guy ..

OJR
I can take it or leave it! I don't really care for his show after he shoots a critter! He gets too carried away!

nativetexan
I could go a lot of places about Ted, but the only one I will go to is that I have learned that Ted says things to get a rise out of people. It may be an insult, a compliment, or something completely off the wall, but most of the time he says things for shock value. I guarantee you this, there are just as many people out there doing good things and saying stupid stuff at the same time. He just does it on camera/stage. One more notable thing about that comment though is that it is no secret how Ted feels about overweight people, and he doesn't sugar coat it to protect anyone's feelings. He shouldn't have to. It's a free country. Some agree with him, some do not. But I like his show, and I read his editorials in the Waco Tribune. One of which will explain his feelings on people being overweight (caution). One should also keep in mind that he is a "rock star." I try to see the message, before I see red.
brad dryden
Im "Huge" fan of it to much one show he made a comment people who complain about people baiting deer can more or less scr*w you. If you state allows it thats fine I dont care but if your state doest allow it and you do shame on you. But I think he expressed his opinion on that to much and he could have phrased his wording a little better. Witch a few weeks ago he did re-phrase it ALOT better. Missilelock
I just dont like being painted with the same brush as him as a hunter. On his last show, it was michian gun opener & he piled up a buck & 3 does right back to back with a slug gun out of a blind with a dead rest like he is a mighty hunter of some kind. It resembeled killing deer on a shooting range more than hunting to me. I have seen him make some real good comments about our troops, but on the whole he maks me sick. camoman1
Id rather watch Uncle Ted's hunting shows then any other big game hunting program. I like that he is not OBSESSED with antlers and P&Y scores and whatever, like most other "Hollywood Hunters" on these programs. He is a great asset to hunting and shooting sports as well. And as for his comments..if you dont like it....change the channel I have heard some things about him from other folks which i dont agree with, but overall he's ok in my book. .....and hes one heck of a musician!! There are far worse people out there that claim to be hunters. He's safe, he knows his stuff, he does a lot for us as hunters and gun owners, he doesn't poach, nor take more game than he is allowed, and other than just being a bit mouthy and obnoxious, the pro's outweigh the con's on a grand scale. If he wants to blow his season in one sitting, or kill all of his own animals (no more than a farmer may slaughter his own animals for meat) more power to him. Guest Wacmaster
I happen to think the Ted is awesome and being wacky is just his way to set himself apart from the rest of the so called hunters who only hunt for horns and another reason i like his show is because you do not no what he will do next and third i like him because he represents US MICHIGAN people very well
stevebeilgard
i think he's good. he's nuts at times. he overdoes things. he's pompus. but most of all, he's good for the sport.

A rest only helps him make a better shot on the deer and tagging out well thats what we all want to do Ted does do some crazy things but I like him and he does do a lot for our sport. Missilelock
IMO theres nothing wrong with using a rest or in tagging out, but I personally couldnt see any more "fair chase " going on in that show than sticking a spotlight out the window & throwing a sandbag on the hood & mowing them down. You had to look over the dead bodies of the first couple deer to see him shoot the latter ones- now old unkle ted can talk all he wants about gettin them backstraps, but i highy doubt he is abe to eat much of them. Well, I am sure it was quite legal for him to bag four deer or he wouldn't have done it! I like Ted. Sure, some of the things he says and does are out there at times. But he is a showman! It is what he does! Besides, his music is killer! LOL!
Guest Finn
I'd watch the show alot more if Shemane was featured more than Ted Uncle Ted does alot of outrageous stuff, says some things I kinda cringe at, but over all, he's a powerful outdoorsman who does tons for the people who chose to bash him rather than thank him. For me, I'm thankful to have him on the hunter's side, speaking out every chance he gets for our freedom to hunt.
wtnhunt
He made a pretty rotton comment today to a little boy about staying away from fat girls....kinda yanked my chain. I watched the epsiode last night and also kind of have mixed thoughts about what Ted sometimes says. I think the comments to the little boy about not listening to country music and no fat girls was meant as a joke.
WaCoyote
I used to watch his show but havent since I got rid of the outdoor channel. He's just a bit over the top for me but he's on my team so I can't really say anything too negative about him. I wish he'd shoot more free range critters instead of all those sika deer and whatnot. I kind of liked his reality show he had though where the city folks hunted and shot for competition. That was a blast. To sum it up he's the weird uncle that would be fun to hang out with for a short while but I wouldn't want him living next door.

Shawn
I like it, Ted does a lot for the hunting world. The another night he was introducing children to bowhunting. He has his moments, but i like the show.
Adjam5
There is NOT ONE outdoor personality that is outspoken about guns and hunting the way Uncle Ted is. He is the one ALWAYS on CNN taking the shots as a gun owner and hunter, not Jim Shockey, not Michael Waddell not Roger Raglin or whomever...Its Ted Nugent. Love 'em or hate 'em...you can't ignore 'em. We all benefit from his work. You don't have to like him, just side with the issues he is on.
