nativetexan
http://www.nbc10.com/politics/14649562/detail.html I find it funny how one of the comments made was something to the effect of "They don't want to listen to their constituents, they want to listen to the NRA." I think their constituents are the NRA. Duh...How stupid of a comment can you possibly make, especially noting in the same conversation that PA has "a strong gun/hunting culture"?? Just goes to show you that there is NO CRYING IN BASEBALL. Rendell made himself look like an idiot by appealing to the sympathetic vote. It really is a shame that policemen lose their life, but kind of like in the military, it is one of the possibilities that come with the territory. Not to mention it is volunteer. Nobody is MAKING people take these jobs, but I sure am glad they did. However, their leadership and legislators are way off target when it comes to crime. Take away the gun, they will use a knife, take away the knife, they will use a bomb, etc, etc. ad nauseum. Find the root, solve the problem. Too many are afraid to acknowledge this and go after it. The lawless follow no law. Simple.
