ruttinbuc
I took my camera a few weeks back and took some pictures of a couple of young bucks I have been watching for a couple years.Last year they were buttons. This year one is a spike and the other was a 3 point. I am very sorry to say that I found the 3 point dead tonight. Someone had shot him through the lungs and failed to recover the little guy:mad:. This kind of thing really pisses me off. The deer lay within sight of my ladder stand on a very prominent run. Unreal.....You would have to be a real idiot not to find this deer. This is the little guy I found tonight I hope this guy doesn't run into the same MORON:mad:
ruttinbuc
Didn't mean to jumble the thread, Tom. I had to vent. That is a pretty neat picture of that button buck below you. I have a nosebleed stand in an old oak where the deer look tiny. I had a feeling there was something watching me on my recent trip to Kansas. I was right. Thought I heard something behind me. Should have been looking up instead of down

Ohiobucks
I got dizzy just looking at that How high up are you ? Cool pic:) If it's where I think he was, about 24 to 25 feet. Cool pic Tom. Turkey woods? Yep, Turkey Woods, and I was at about 23'. In that spot of the woods, it is fairly open, so you need to get up there a little higher than normal. Very cool pics RB, that is why you take the camera along.

Straight Shooter
I always take my camera with me, except when there is heavy rain expected. I got some great footage of a button buck in Ohio two weeks ago with my dvd camera. Rained most of the week so I couldn't get a 4,6, 8, point buck on video or camera. Had a skunk and some pretty cool looking fox squirrels I wanted to get also.
Tominator
Tom is about 5 yards from that tree as I type this. Gun season opens today, and we set his stand in that woods on Saturday.
