NiteRunner
Black Friday Deals revealed that the one sporting goods store had a 16ft Ameristep Ladder stand for $65.00! Got a rain check though. I know Ameristep is a pretty nice brand, but who uses the ladder stands and how do you like them? Thanks! Guest Andrea
I love mine. I have a 2-man stand I got from Bass Pro. 15 footer.
Guest bigalt78
i think they're a very COMFORTABLE stand but i just dont think that they're high enough in the air for me at least. i like to go about 30 feet in my climber. the only stands i dont like getting high in is a hang on but when i get my fall guy ill go high. but i have killed plenty of does out of a ladder stand. if you're a big guy thinking about getting a ladder stand i'd suggest getting a two man buddy stand just for you by yourself that's what i do its REALLY ROOMY. NiteRunner
Thanks you guys! I'm Hoping they'll have them in stock so I can go get it soon! Can't wait to try it out then!
wyohunter
on my way home from a michigan deer hunt i stopped in cabelas and bought that very stand ($99.00) i feel ripped off:eek: lol i was hunting out of some in michigan i felt bordered on unsafe (ish) but this one was extra sturdy feeling and came with a bench rest too...the ladder was twice the size of the others i used while in mich, so i think its a great choice
wtnhunt
I hunt out of ladder stands quite a bit. Aside from bowhunting, most of my hunting is done from ladder stands.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
i bought an ameristep 2-man ladder stand last year....very comforatable. My cousin bought a 15 foot ladder stand last year as well, think he sat in it maybe 4 times. didn't want it so he gave it to me, the squirrels chewed up the seat but other than that its a great stand. arrow32
I was looking at one here for that was a 20 footer I think and it looked very nice. I have hunted out of a loggy bayou ladderstand and loved it. Alot nicer than those hang ons and climbers I think.
NiteRunner
I tried climbers, didn't like the feeling I got from using them. That why I turned to the ladder stands, and better yet it has the rails around it, makes me feel a little better having that extra security. oldreloader
I use climbers, hang on, and ladder stands.I like each for different purposes but am starting to use more ladders because of the ease of installing and use.The older I get the better easy looks. crazylegz70
I just though i would give my input even tho you have your mind made up.....I have the 2 person ameristep and the one person. I personally like the 1 person better just because of ease of install on the tree. You can imagine the 2 person is kind of akward unless you have a buddy there with you. I am personally not very tall/big so it is VERY difficult for me with the larger stand. However, I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!
Yellowhammer
I bought the 15 foot, one person ladder stand from this company and I like it. Seems like I paid 70 bucks for mine.
