Witness to something very stupid

Sat the 23 of Nov. was the first day of Maryland gun season. The morning turned out to be rather dead,no action what so ever, afternoon wasn't,it was rather somewhat sickening.I was sitting on stand covering to small fields,I was also high enough to also see over on the field next door only maybe 200yds away,at about 5:00pm,Iwatched through my binoculars, the jerks next door,3 guys who also have no idea of ethics, decide to open fire on 6 Does crossing between them and a house, dumb yes ,but this part really cooks my nerves, three guys unload on these six does and fired about 12 rounds in 7-10 seconds, deer are jumping, falling down, and crawling trying to make it towards my farms property line, and the woods some 75yds away. All said and done, two deer down and kickin the rest made it to the woods were they came from.I then saw them finish off the two does and load them up,AND NEVER EVEN ATTEMPTED TO TRACK THE OTHERS ,yep, loaded the 2 and went to the truck, never seen them since.I returned sunday Morning and saw no sign of them.

Really is sickening, would be curious if there would be any way to prove they broke any game laws though. Very sad that there are those out there like that and that people mistake those of us who try to do our best to ethically and humanely kill our game. Pretty safe to say there are probably more than just a few of us who have seen or heard similar or heard stories of such in areas where we hunt.

I only found a few blood drops where a couple of them ran across a small ditch to my property, followed on the field edge and lost it after a 100yds or so.went into a trail near the last spot of blood, walked in about 75yds or so but nuffin, sad to say,but MD. DNR said nothing thay could do,isn't the first time I heard that statement for the local DNR guys, shot during legal hours,no laws broke.I even asked the officer to go talk to them or something,he had no real interest it seemed like.

You said the doe's crossed between them and a HOUSE and they were shooting in the direction of the house. How far away was the house? who owns the house? Did the owners know that the slobs were shooting in the direction of their house? If not i would inform them. Maybe, Just maybe if you push the subject with the home owner dnr might do something...... Did you inform DNR of this?

Owner of the house/farm are the brother and sister in law of the hunters, the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree if ya know what I mean.

That being the case, if it were here, not really anything the wildlife officers could do. Sad thing is someone will likely eventually get hurt, maybe that will be a wake up call to the shooters.
