muggs
The local High School in my city (Mentor Ohio) defeated Brunswick H.S. in the State semi's to advance to the State Championship game for the second year in a row...no small feat. Last year they lost in a triple OT thriller which I watched on public access TV until 1am. I hope they win this time around, but they have to play St. Xavier (Cinncy area) who has been ranked as high as #2 in the Nation by both the USAToday and Sports Illustrated. Doesn't look good for the Card, but they do have Bart Tanski. My Pollack brother-in-arms and one of the top QB's in the State. He's only 6' tall so he'll probably end up at one of the MAC schools, I'm hoping he picks my alma matre, Kent State.
Tominator
Yep, Xavier knocked out our local D-I team, Dublin. The D-III team right down the road from me, Big Walnut is in the final with Licking Valley. These two teams are about 25 miles from each other. The guy that used to coach here where I teach is now coaching at Big Walnut; their offensive coordinator used to teach in the room next to me.
