Guest smacky Posted November 27, 2007 Report Share Posted November 27, 2007 i"m thinking about buying a tripod or hanging feeder to help supplement the deer during the cold months of winter and i need your help on what would be a good feeder to buy and does anyone use the solar panel to charge your battery and how long will a battery usually last without a solar charger? texastrophies Posted November 30, 2007 Report Share Posted November 30, 2007 I use an All-Seasons 12 volt feeder with a solar panel. I feed 4 times per day, and it has been running with the same battery for about 6 years now. No maintenence whatsoever. I have it on a tripod with a boat winch crank to raise and lower it.
