Guest Andrea
I don't know when I've seen a more boring game than last night's Steelers/Dolphins fiasco. I fell asleep. Then woke up and found out the only 3 points to be scored were in the final seconds!!! At least I got it right in the pick 'em game!!!! Tominator
Where else in America does an NFL franchise allow high school teams, college teams, sisters of the poor teams, kindergarten recess time, etc., etc. on their home field? Isn't Heinz a brand new field? Is that Heinz field, I don't even know, don't even care, but I thought that was a new field. Did those engineers that built that field ever hear of a drainage tile? What a farse. Only in Pittstahn.

Guest Andrea
Yeah but you picked over 40 Maybe next time they need to put over/under 7 points :D:D Yeah well....if they didn't have to play in that hog trough then they might have done better. buckbuster11
That field is a disgrace this time of year. It has been since they built the new stadium. Every year they have all 4 division high school championships played in a row on the same day, then you have Pitt and the Steelers playing on it right after that. It's ridiculous. Of course Pittsburgh received 2.5 inches of rain yesterday, and the heaviest occured right before the game so that didn't help. But, I think it's about time the Steelers get their "own" stadium. toddyboman
Yes all those games on the field didn't help, nor did the rain. BUT the drainage design or lack thereof is what KILLED that field.
arrow32
Yeah that field wasn't even fit to play on. Could have put them out back here and it would have been better. Read something on the internet somewhere that they were going to make it to where only the Steelers play on there field? Thats a great idea tho. That's what needs to happen, but I think it's a "municipal" type field, in other words, public tax dollars helped build that facility, and therefore, all the public teams have a claim/right to play there. I could be wrong about that, but that's the only reason I can think of that would allow the Stillers organization to allow those other teams to play on their field. Guest Andrea
You mean to tell me the NFL can't afford to build the Steelers their own stadium?? Gimme a break.......they make enough money off those silly little towels to build 2 or 3.

Gimme a break.......they make enough money off those silly little towels to build 2 or 3. The NFL has nothing to do with it. That's up to the owners to build a facility. They tend to hold a city hostage, like Art Modell did to Cleveland. He basically said "build me a new stadium or else..." So he took his team and left. Didn't there use to be another big stadium in Pit?
buckbuster11
Three Rivers was the old stadium. The Pirates and the Steelers both played there until 2001 I think it was. Pitt used to have their own stadiu on campus, but they buried that one for some reason and now they play at Heinz Field with the Steelers.
