cinch314
Because they look easy and Ive heard that they are really reliable. Ive got two Gorillas right now and Im kinda scared of them. They dont grab a hold like they should.

A couple of good options. Stevens is a great rifle for the money. Most can be had for just under $300 (bare rifle). Walmarts in Tulsa have had a sale on Remington 700's (adl) for $300 (bare). And you can sometimes find a buy on a Savage 110 on Gunbroker for around $275 (used). They come in pretty much any "Standard" cal.

johnf
I don't know anyone who owned a Tree Lounge that still has it I know one guy. He leaves it in a tree all season. He says once it's in a tree it's great, but it's a pain getting it in the woods and on a tree. I would get a summit, they are cheaper, lighter, easier to use and just as stable and comfortable. Guest blindhog
I bought my wife a New England Firearms handi rifle and she loves it . I came with a cheap Tasco scope that will be changed to something better someday . Hers is in 243 caliber but you can get it I am sure in a 308 caliber . The tree lounge I cannot help you with because I will not let it go . I have been hunting with it for 25 years . It takes some getting use to because its heavy and there is a certain tecniques you use when climbing trees to make a quiet assent . I use mine for bow hunting and gun hunting and I have 9 nice bucks to show for it . Its the most confortable tree stand I have ! I can stay in it all day . I can even take a napp and not have any fear of falling out . The newer Tree Lounges owners are having problems with their stands so get an older one . The adjustable back bar is the thing to have . It takes out the need for a wooden block that you had to use to level out the stand . The tree nest is great it keeps the cold wind off your back in winter and the steep angle pad is great during bow season making it easy to stand up to draw your bow . Yes you stand up to shoot your bow ! There is a bow adapter that mounts to the stand . It lets you stand up like you are practicing at home . This takes some getting use to but as long you are using the proper safty equipment no problem and you have almost 360 degrees of shooting area . Some people love them others hate them Its just one more stand in my arsenal . When I am running after rutting bucks I am practiced enough to put my stand on a tree and be up high in a few minutes. Its not like a lock-0n or ladder where you can just slip in and out easily . I can only sit in a few hours in a ladder or lock-on before my back starts to hurt and my but goes numb but the lounge is a all day thing . I have trees that I have trimmed the limbs all the way 40 or 50ft up and have consistently see deer out of them . I bought my Tree Lounge because I almost fell out of a lock-on to my death! {before body harnesses} A friend let me use his wifes tree lounge and its been in love ever since . I ordered mine the following week !! Try to find you one with all the accessories included also try the Tree Lounge web site there is always someone wanting to sell theirs after a few failed attempts at its use . just pm me if you get one I can tell you how to operate it effectivly
