The Shotgun season opened yesterday but i didnt make it out due to the inch of rain we recieved. No one killed a deer at the property i went to this morning yesterday so i figured i would have a good shot. Was sitting in my stand when a decent buck walked behind me on the neighbors property and ended up winding me. I checked the wind and it was blowing to a really bad direction for that stand so i got down and headed up to our cabin. The property im hunting has deep valleys so i figured some deer might be bedded down there to escape the wind. I was right in that assumption. As i topped a big hill i saw this deer laying down. I thought it saw me so i pulled up and let the shotgun bark. It was a perfect shot knocking out the lungs. This is my second deer of the year so my season is going pretty well. I am donating this deer to a 66 year old woman i work with that could really use it. Sorry the pic isnt the best had to use the self timer.
