Manitoba Opening Day, General Season

Thanks. I never weighed him, but I had to call my brother in to help me drag it out, and stuff into his truck. (I already tried, and failed to stuff him into my trunk. I could only pick up half the thing at a time). I know I can lift about two hundred pounds into a truck on my own, and I couldn't put this one in the box without help...

It was the neatest deer I ever shot. I sat down against a tree, in a spot where I already scouted out some good scrapes. Sprayed a little "Big Buck Scent" artificial pee stuff on a gun cleaning patch. Blew once on my grunt. Looked to my right, nothing moving. Off to the left, maybe two minuits after I sit down, I hear some crashing and a grunt. I looked over, and there he was, plowing his way through the trees like a moose, scraping up the dirt like a mad bull at a rodeo. He was about twenty yards and closing in when I took the shot. If I'd had a video camera recording it, It would look just like a Monster Buck segment, only without having to edit out the hours of waiting...

On my way back out of the bush, not far away, I saw another 4x4, a little smaller then this guy. I'm guessing they were probably sparing not long before I showed up, and the one I shot chased the other one off. He probably smelled my piss, heard the grunt, and came storming in blindly to chase the other buck off again.
