Tominator
Got a message from Tim today saying he was hunting in Ohio with a friend. Can't remember who it was, but I'll post any updates! Our own Aaron Darr, a.k.a. carbonhunter. Aaron was born and raised in a little town near me. They are hunting the next county over, Fairfield. Good luck fellers.

Tim Andrus
Just got home from a tough go! Opening day was a wash out , I mean I sat from 615am till 11am in a steady rain . saw 3 buck and 2 does. Went back in for the evening and got wet somemore and still managed to see another buck. Aaron and I hunted our tails off for 3 days My total was 8 bucks and a bunch of doe . The best buck a 140 class came in down wind for a few minutes before smelling the buggar. Was at 110 yards in brush,no shot. Had a 120inch or so 8pt twice tempting fate but I let him go hoping for another shot at the 140 buck. What can i say Aaron was a stand up guy whom I had fun with for a quick 3 days. The weather was not that great even after it stopped raining. But anyway its hunting ,not shooting ( sometimes i wish it was lol) I had a another great time meeting another forum member and started a ne friendship. Thanks again Aaron! Also, for anyone who hasnt hunted Ohio, No deer there and especially no bucks !! lol! i was forced to say that lol tim

Wish he was around more often. Told you there weren't any big deer in Ohio.

carbonhunter
Little late getting on here since getting back, Tim glad to see you got home safe. When Tim says it was hard hunting he isnt even telling half the story, we ran into 4+inches of rain, TONS of hunters, and a property that had changed a great deal in the three years since I have hunted it. We gave it a shot but like the man says thats hunting. Tim is a class act for any of you who havnt had the pleasure of meeting him. He is welcome to hunt Ohio or Iowa with me any time he wants. Chris i expected to get a phone call from you at some point. Sorry we didnt hook up, but im thinking about coming back for muzzeloader since i have this tag sitting in my pocket. We will have to get together then. or you could drive out here and help me with those pesky roosters.

I have one tag left (unless your property is in urban zone, which I doubt), and I'd love to tag a buck with the Encore. Might have to drag Tom out to Iowa since he's nearly tagged out too. Proud to call both you and Tim friends.
stevebeilgard
that is why it's called hunting, and not shooting. you had a good time, met good folks, and got home safe. sounds like a real good hunt to me.
