bought it and love it...

Well I ended up buying that CVA Magbolt .50 cal inline that I was looking at. I took it to the range and shot it this morning for the first time. I really had a good time and I'm very happy with how it's shooting.

Yesterday I was out running around and I had planned on picking up a scope for it, but I never did. I am just going to enjoy the basics of open sights first, I'm sure I'll put a scope on it come spring.

Well I started shooting at 50 and immediately got a tight pattern and adjusted the sights and started hitting bullseye.

I ended up shooting it several times this morning, those 209 primers really help a lot. I love how crisp the shots are and the trigger on that CVA isn't bad at all.

I'm very glad I picked this one up, I'm really looking forward to shooting more and doing some hunting with it.

Thanks for all the information on this subject folks, I'm very pleased that I've moved into the sport of muzzleloading.

After some more shooting and still it's very accurate w/ the open sights out to 60 yards...I am not comfortable taking a longer than that shot w/ the open sights, just too much margin for error for me.

I am going to take it out this Saturday and hunt and try to take a deer with it. In the off season I'll probably put a scope on it, but at the same time I may just keep with the open sights.
