fisherguy
In the last few years living on my own i have learned that red sweaters should not be washed in warm water with grey, tan and white clothing; that wool can't go in the dryer; and that i just shouldn't be allowed to own bleach. Now i need help. My comforter from my bed is about due for a wash(we won't get into how long i have had it without washing it). LOL Here are the specifics, it is white, made of...i dunno i cut the tags off , and seems to be filled with something other than down. how do i wash it as in what temp, setting etc., and can it go in the dryer? The machine has a huge capacity so that won't be a problem. **thanks in advance for help, but if you are going to make a joke please make it very clear you are joking since i just might do what you say. I really would rather not ruin it because I am laundry impaired enought to believe a joking suggestion.
dogdoc
Re: Man in need of laundry help! we wash our comforter all the time---with 2 young girls and pets it gets a beating. wash in warm water, regular cycle, extra rinse--tumble dry in medium heat! You might have to run it in the dryer for a couple cycles to get completely dry. todd

HuntingInMaine
Re: Man in need of laundry help! I agree with vermonthunter's wife on this one. Cold water (although the warm wouldn't hurt if it is a cotton comforter) in the wash with some detergent and fabric softener. A little heat in the dryer won't hurt anything either, but every twenty minutes you should take it out of the dryer and fluff it up. Because it is so big there will be spots in the center that will be slow to dry if you don't do this. I don't suggest washing everything in cold water. Your whites should be seperated and washed in hot water with bleach or they will quickly look very dingy.
