[/ QUOTE ] I have 2 other cats...you should see this one chase them around. He sounds like a bowling ball coming down the steps when he runs downstairs...lol. Here is a pic of me holding him....gives a better idea of his size. He has been on prescription diet food for about 6 or 7 months, and honestly, now he weights just under 25 pounds
VermontHunter
Re: My Hunting Partner.... He's definately a gorgeous cat, and mild mannered to allow you to hold him that way...if you tried that with my wifes female she would tear ya to shreds... My wife's cat has been on a steady dietfor about 2yrs. now and has maintained about 22lbs. she at one time also weighed about 35lbs.
tedicast
Re: My Hunting Partner.... What food is your wifes cat on? Giz , and my other 2 are all eating Hills Science Diet RD..I believe. Seems to be working, and the other 2 have lost a pound or 2 but seem to be maintaining.
VermontHunter
Re: My Hunting Partner.... She is eating Iams Special Diet..Dry & Wet. Plus the Vet has here on some type of Hormone Pill to help her maintain a level weight. It seems to be working but she's holds at 22lbs. and loses no more than that...The Vet says she's healthy and active so not to worry... tedicast
Re: My Hunting Partner.... The vet told us that she could find nothing physically wrong with gizmo. She said some cats, just like some humans are pre-disposed to being big.
VermontHunter
Re: My Hunting Partner.... That's basically what our Vet told us to...as long as they are healthy and active let nature take it's course....
OJR
Re: My Hunting Partner.... Sorry guys, but if I had my say about cats, they would be on a permanent diet! They would loose a lot of weight in a hurry!!! LOL!!!

[/ QUOTE ] You think having to buy a new monitor is bad billygoat, you should have one of these cats jump right square in the middle of your tummy while you are dead asleep....or have the wife show the food bill in order to keep one of these cats fed... Mine has a habit of walking right up and curling up on your belly. If thats not bad enough, it never fails for one paw to find a real tender spot to step!
