I am thinking of breaking down and spending the money to get the Lone Wolf Assault hang on and the climbing sticks. I am getting tired of getting into some thick areas that big deer are in and not finding a good tree to climb with a climber. Anyway I was wondering have any of you packed in climbing sticks before? How did you set them up, did you climb up and down till they were on or tie them off with roap and pull each section up so you didnt have to keep climbing up and down?

i know some people do it but generally when you buy a hang on you hang it before season starts and put a lock on it so no one could steal it. seriously though it would be a HUGE hassle to set it up on every hunt.

I wish I could hang it and leave it. Hunting public ground though and they have to come out daily. My problem lately is finding trees that I can climb. The big boys are in the thickest non straight stuff there is and the only way to get a stand in there is to use sticks n a hang on.

I have a Lone Wolf Alpha and use the hook system to hang it, leaving the strap in the tree every day....packing the stand in and out every time. It's light enough to do pretty easily and the hook makes it really easy to hang quietly.

Don't have the Lone Wolf sticks, but would like a set for next year. I set up in a balsam or other pine tree that's easy to climb and provides protection. Right now, I just leave 1- 4 foot section of climbing sticks to get started to the limbs.
