Guest Finn
Can anyone suggest a quality 1X scope that isn't real expensive? Wisconsin doesn't allow magnification on a Muzzleloader, but I'd prefer reticles to iron sights. Thanks. Craig
TreeWalker
A good quality scope is the TC Hawkin scope.....1x power with I think a 32mm objective.....I really like mine.

rad_112176
Wisconsin doesn't allow magnification on a Muzzleloader, but I'd prefer reticles to iron sights. That is a pretty cool law. With the way muzzleloaders shoot these days it is actually better than shooting a shotgun and some can be reloaded pretty quick.
Guest scubabeartoo
Finn, Have you looked at any of the Red Dot scopes. They are small, light, and have a several options for sight picture. Bear

Chrud
Go down to Gander Mountain in Wausau. They've got a couple 1x's you can look at. My brother has a Nikon Buckmasters 1x on his ML. It's nice, but I think only a 20 objective. It almost makes the target look smaller. I believe they have the TC scopes there also. Probably the Hawkin that TW mentioned. Ravin R10 man
YUP Nikon Buckmasters is what I put on mine too, yes the objective is a bit small..but you get used to it.
tped
I second Bear on this one - check out some of the red dot scopes. I use these on my hunting handguns such as my Ruger Blackhawk and since shots are typically under 100 yards they work great.
brownie65
I use red dot scopes on my shotguns. Love them. I have a Bushnell & 2 different Pentax's. These are all 1X. I am buying a 2X one from a buddy of mine. Thinking about putting it on my muzzleloader but not sure. There are several good red dot scopes out there with several reticle choices & couple dot colors also. I agree with a couple other guys & highly recommend them.
