BearClaw
What do you all use for a thermos in the woods during the cold weather? I haven't found one that keeps coffee hot all day long when the weather is 32 degrees or colder. Any suggestions?
LifeNRA
I own a Stanley and a Thermos brands. They are both stainless steel vacuum type. The trick is too pour boiling water in them for about 15-20 minutes before you put your coffee in them. Naturally, as you take coffee out it will loose it ability to keep real hot. But it will still be hot to drink. I have had coffee in them darn near eight hours, still had to let it cool down before drinking!

wtnhunt
Always pour boiling hot water in the thermos before filling it. It will keep whatever is in it much warmer. Use Stanley or thermos brand Thermos's here.
terry264
Stanley, thermos, or aladdin brands preheated first do a good job. The stainless ones. Also I have an immersion heating element that is 12V and plugs into the lighter socket, a travel mug that plugs into the lighter, and they also make coffee makers that plug into a lighter socket. No excuse for not having hot coffee here!
BearClaw
Thanks for the tips! I've always used just the hot water from the tap but never thought of boiling water. Tried it Saturday and while I only hunted in the morning, when I got home it was still steamin'!
