Hi all.

I am fairly new here but wanted to say thanks to all of you. I'm an avid hunter (mainly bowhuting deer) I realy have very few people localy that I can talk to about it. My wife could care less. I mean she isn't against me going she just doesn't care to hear my stories. These stories are such cool memories for me. I also love to hear other people's stories. It is like I get to experience the hunt with them. Unfortunatly like I said before there are so few people around me that hunt. I have 3 freinds I hang around with some that hunt. One I hunt with occasionaly. But on a regular basis I have no one to talk with about hunting. Everyone at work could care less too.

A week and a half ago I killed the biggest deer of my life. I was excited. Most people could care less. Even my dad who started me hunting seems to not want to hear anything about it. It is not that I'm going overboard talking about it either. I just casualy mention a detail of my hunt and I get comments like I'm obbsesing about it. Ok maybe a little but it is a big deal to me.

Oh well. Anyway I'm glad you all listen and so far haven't gotten tired of me talking about it.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Boy oh boy, I never, ever get sick of hearing a good hunting story. My hunting bud's and I talk deer hunting every time we get around each other.

You can tell the hunters at a social gathering. We're all sitting away from the non-hunters talking about food plots, or the big buck stories of years past.

Never think we don't like hearing anyone's hunting stories, I miss my grandfathers stories from back in the 40's, those were the good old one's that ours will be some day to the future hunters out there.

Welcome to the forums. You sound like a perfect candidate to be a true, Realtree moron . That's a compliment around here, by the way. At least that's what they keep telling me...LOL;):)

Good hunting stories never get old.. I can come on here and cry my heart when I miss a big buck and only get judged a little...:D

Steve.. you just keep believing that being a true Realtree moron is a compliment... it's ok:D:D:D:D:D:D:p:p:p:p:p:p

Welcome to the forum, you'll find lots of stories and people to talk to here. Tell us your story about the big buck! We'd love to hear it! Tell about the misses too. Oooo, they hurt! All the practice and then we do something stupid, we've all been there and we share them too. Don't forget about the slogan, "Realtree...Family, Friends and the Outdoors" We're you're 'extended' family here, welcome aboard!!

I'm in the cincinnati area too. NE actually.

As for pics of my buck. My avatar and signature pics are my 2007 buck. He measured 153 inches. The short story is pouring rain and me getting ready to leave and then there he was. What a morning.

OH and BTW there are no big deer in Ohio!

:D
