dogdoc
Wow--what fun Belle and I had. I traveled west to a small town just north of Lubbock to go on my first Pheasant hunt. We hunted the opening weekend and limited out both days. Man--those big birds will scare the heck out of you when getting up. Belle had a blast on her first upland hunt and did a great job quartering the birds and retrieving--you could really tell when she was getting birdy. I'm hooked now! todd

Tominator
I'll have to check those pics when I get home Todd. Yep, not many things better than the heart thumping you get when the dog goes on point, and you hear the flush and cackle. I'm going to take a walk tonight since we have a fresh snow on. Texan_Til_I_Die
Wow, I wish I had known you were there! I hunted that area this weekend too! I was around Floydada on both sides of Blanco Canyon. We got into some great pheasant hunting too, but it seemed like the quail were off a bit this year. Did your dog have problems scenting with the high winds? All of ours struggled until it laid down around noon Sunday. But brother, when Sunday afternoon hit, it was ON!!!!
