WaCoyote
Now that I'm done messing around with all the other critters I like to chase I'll be starting my coyote season tomorrow. Got a 3800 acre cattle ranch thats full of yotes with virgin ears to hunt on saturday and about 6000 acres to hunt on sunday for a derby I'm in. Ya'll better get to hunting because I'm plan on smokin a bunch this weekend!!! Gonna grab the old Hammer of Thor pop in 30 52 grain hollows and get to perferatin some hungry dogs!!! That was a dirty trick captbk! Shooting all those dang coons. Guess I'll have to get me some yotes!!

captkb44
Dirty Trick????? I look at it as taking full advantage of a good opportunity. :D:D The weatherman needs a royal tale kicking for telling me it was going to be in the 80's today when it barely did reach 60 with no wind. I am heading out in the morning taking my son deer hunting, but if another good opportunity should arise I will be posting more pics. I am thinking I need to make a phone call and see about heading out west to that 40,000 acre ranch that has a coyote or two running around just incase. I think it would be good practice for once the contests kick off around here next month. Wacoyote and Gus you two need to send me your calls so I can put new reeds in them.........................I got a shipment of duck inserts the other day. :D :D Good luck you two and I look forward to all the good hunting competition. WaCoyote
That would be great one of them is in really bad shape. Only saw one dog Saturday, called him in but he winded us. Made a hurried shot, got a poor hit and lost the dog. Really pretty silver dog too. Would have made a great pic. DANGIT! Got yet another virgin spot to hit today for the derby as well as a smaller ranch that has produced well in the past hope it works out!!! Won't be missing today!..............................................................I hope

Guest bighorns2bushytails
sorry that spot didnt produce better wacoyote. i really thought it would have been a hot spot since no one coyote hunts up there. anyways well have to try it again, it is a very large piece of land and we were on just one small part of it. well figure it out! hope we can hit that spot u were talking bout in 2 weeks when im free. that sure was cool when that one came running in. Thats hunting! I'm still not convinced we didn't call in more though. Thats some thick stuff. We know how to do it now though. They don't have a chance next time! Especially since I got the coyote fever in check now. I'll be shooting straight next time. I bet we slam them. We need to hit the other half next time.
