deerslayer79
At the wrong time,I dropped the hammer on a real hefier of a doe last night, and after the shot, the doe was still standing there, and the crosshairs of my scope were tilted a good 20 degrees, needless to say,my evening was done.I have 2 choices for a new scope, but input is needed.Scope #1 is a bushnell elite 3200 tactical straight 10x40,I know I don't need a tactical scope, but reviews say they are very, very tough and at $160 a good deal.Scope #2 is a Pentax 3.5x10x50 game seeker with a BDC recticle for $150.I am on a budget, just bought a house, and christmas is close, but I need it a month from now.I don't know much about pentax optics either.BTW,this rifle is my reach out and touch something rig. wtnhunt
Personally I would not want a fixed power scope on any of my guns except for maybe a shotgun. Of the two choices you list there I would go with the pentax just for that reason.
tped
3200's are good scopes but I don't know about that fixed 10 power. Fixed 6 would be better. Why not look at the Nikon Buckmaster line or even the Burris fullfields in a variable for around $200 - both are really good scopes for the money. Strut10
You'll be sorry every hunting day of your life if you put a straight 10x on your gun. I'd opt for the Pentax (if there were only those two choices).
