8ptbuckpa
I was shooting my xt today and with a shot the top rubber string suppressor flew off!!! what can i do to fix it ??? i have only had the bow about 3 months. I don't have time to take the bow to my archery shop because of work this weekend. Will i be able to find them somewhere and replace it myself? Squirrelhunter91
Either way, if you can't do it this weekend, you might as well wait til after the weekend. I would call Mathews because they'd help you out. They have good customer service.
Leo
Personally, I've grown to truly dislike string suppressors. I much prefer an STS to the on string suppressors. If you can't find a replacement. Remove the bottom one. Make sure the sights are still correct and go hunting. They are like headlights if one fails the other isn't far behind. Chrud
Your proshop should have some. If you can't get them this weekend, I would take Leo's advice.
AdvantageTimberLou
Wait and go the your pro shop or go over to Mathews.com and ask the boys in that forum. Wealth of knowledge about Mathews bows and this would be an easy question for them!
craig mack
I know you can get replacements. I think you can pop them back in. You're talking about the rubber piece right and not the arm that holds it to the string?
lungbuster12point06
I have an 05 Switchback and have replaced the upper suppressor twice, for whatever reason the upper wears way more than the lower one does..................you can get the replacements from your dealer, I read or had someone tell me that you should not shoot w/o the suppressors,so I guess I would ask a pro before removing them and shooting it. Don't shoot one but hate that system just my opionon tho. Take the other off worry about it another day and go hunting.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
not a big deal, you can shoot the bow without them, just don't take the arm off! If you shoot a lot, wear is going to happen. I had one pop off a few weeks into hunting season this year. Your proshop should have em for about $10 for the set and install em yourself. you'll know which one is which, one has a "C" for cam and the other has an "I" for idler The top ones do wear more I think due to the idler lean. I like the idea of them, quiets the bow down, I didn't even bother putting leeches or anything on my string.
