Hoyt03
Here in PA you are restricted to flintlock only in the late season. Who here shoots a flintlock and what would you recommend? I know most people are going to say TC, and while I own a TC inline and love TC, they want 600$ for a new hawken. I hate to pay that much for a flintlock. Their newer line of flintlocks are more modern and have briefly looked at them. Thanks for anyone advice, I just need a good shooting gun for late season. Guest turkeyhuntr
I have a Lyman Deer Stalker I got it at Dixon's Muzzle loading Shop. http://dixonmuzzleloading.com/index.php?section=muzzleloadingshop Dixon's is about 15 miles from Cabela's in Hamburg, Pa. All they sell is muzzle loading stuff and have a wealth of information. If you call them they can probably help you out. Good luck

PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I have been hunting with a flintlock since about 1975 or so. for most of those years I used an Investarms hawken style rifle. Several years ago I bought an RMC Accusporter which is built only a mile from me. It is a green Mt barrel and an L&R lock. I have two barrels for it. One a 1:48 twist and the other a 1:28 twist. I was always pretty happy with my Investarms but when I shot the accusporter with a real quality lock and barrel it was like night and day. There is something to be said about laying out some bucks for quality and now that is a fect to which I can attest. Those accusporters are pricy too at over $500.
