paul23 Posted December 9, 2007 Report Share Posted December 9, 2007 Nice ending for my 07 rifle season here in NY. Harvested this buck on Dec. 5th while walking through a bedding area. First time out with my great grandfather's 25 caliber Remington pump gun. He thought he was sneaking away at 85 yards when the bullet struck his neck dropping him in his tracks. My buddy helped me drag him straight up out of a steep gorge. Was only a 50 yard drag but ended up taking over a hour due to the snow and steepness of the slope.
