toddyboman
This came from the "Need Warm Boots" Thread. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65908 I have no experience with them personally but here is what these guys said :) Muck Boots. You can get them at Cabelas and there the best boot I have ever worn. Other places sell them as well if you don't want to get them from there. I think mine go down to like -40 and the comfort range is 60. Great boots and have never had my feet get cold yet.(knock on wood) I have a pair of Muck boots, and they SUCK. I wore them last Friday in temps of about 20 with a GOOD pair of Merino wool socks. My feet were cold before I even got out of the truck. My feet were warmer the day before after having crossed a creek and ice forming on them. They are REDHEAD Dakota's with 400gr insulation and goretex SO appears to me the jury is still out.;):D
arrow32
Looks like my answer is already here. There great boots and my feet have yet to get cold since that last post.
98chevy
I looked at 2 pairs real hard before I purchased. The alfa burlys from lacross fit my foot better and are proteced more on the shin. After saying that if the mucks would of fit my foot better I would have purchased those. Steve Hmmm, what the heck then? Why are my feet always so blasted cold in them? Anyone know if the insulation may break down over time? Think mine are 3yrs old

cinch314
I love my muck boots because they are warm and water proof. The only thing I dont like about them is that they are not snake proof. At least the ones I got arent.

Think mine are 3yrs old Maybe they are too small. Any tight fitting boot is going to let your feet get cold.
HuntingInMaine
I live in Maine too and know all too well how cold it can get. On top of that I have a circulation problem that doesn't help things, especially when I'm sitting. I got a pair of Lacrosse PacBoots and have never had a problem with cold feet since. HUNTINGMAN
Are they water proof all the way to the top or just up to the top of the rubber bottom.
preacherman
mine are water proof all the way to the top. I just wear a pair of low cut socks with mine and my feet stay good and warm! Love mine!
jerdanmagic
I bought my wife some two years ago, and she absolutely loves them. They are the Arctic sport Mucks, and she NEVER complains about cold feet when she has them on. With that said, I am on my 2nd pair of Alpha Burly Sports and I can't ever see myself buying anything different for rubber boots.
arrow32
My muc boots are waterproof all the way to the top. Love them. I just wear a gold toe sock with mine.
RangerClay
Hmmm, what the heck then? Why are my feet always so blasted cold in them? Anyone know if the insulation may break down over time? Think mine are 3yrs old Do you walk a long way to your stand? Because the Mucks are neoprene they will retain a lot of heat and sweat. Muck boots do not breath were well either. My brothers feet used to freeze in his muck boots till he figured out that his feet were getting sweaty after walking to his stand. Now he packs in a change of socks and he is good to go.
