Guest COACH J.
I shot this doe with my 30- 06 using a balistic tip! She was quartering away and I hit her high in the shoulder and it came out her neck and I mean tore it up!!!!!!

LOL! I finaly got a pencil sized exit hole on Saturday, not that I ever needed an exit hole! Saved a lot of meat for the freezer too! I think I would be looking for another deer round! shockwave
I shoot a .243 with 75 grain ballistic tips, so far i`ve shot 2 deer with them and they have gone a total of 0 yards.. My bullets don`t tear them up like that, but it sure knocks them on their rump !! Great shot none the less !!
Guest COACH J.
WOW what a hole. How far away did you shoot her?About 30 yards!
DSGB
That is exactly why I won't use Ballistic Tips or Accubonds for hunting! Ditto! Too much fragmentation for me. I don't like picking plastic out of my venison.
Guest adrenaline_junky
What a hole. I think i'll stick with an arrow though. More meat. LOL:D
Texan_Til_I_Die
That's exactly the type of performance I'm looking for when that buck of a lifetime walks out in front of me! And that's why I shoot the ballistic silvertips in my 7 mag. Plus, they group great out of my gun. If I'm planning to shoot a doe, I'll usually switch guns to something a bit less dramatic. wtnhunt
That is exactly why I won't use Ballistic Tips or Accubonds for hunting! Yep, same here. Core lokts work perfectly fine for me.
hutchies
I shot a several does a few years ago with Winchester Balistic tip 180 grains out of my .30-06 and I could reach into the rib cage thru the exit whole. I went back to Remington Core Lokts. They kill them just as dead without losing all the meat. I do like the Balistic tips for hogs though.
