LETS KEEP THIS CIVIL!!!! Please.

I'm not stirring the pot just curious.

I know blood is part of what we do and I'm fine with it. :)

I do not have a trouble with pics showing exit holes or whatever cause that shows how the product performed.

But I am curious how you guys like your pictures that you display.....

Thanks and please lets not let this get out of hand :):)

If Blood Bothers You, You Shouldnt Be Deer Hunting!

Blood does not bother me...cause that is part of this sport/hobby/way of life that I love :)

But I know some are a fans of less is more.....

For me the pictures I put on the wall or on my desk to show all I try to keep them fairly clean. But if I can some wicked exit hole I take a pic of that to show off too ;);):p:p:):)

If your taking a good picture to frame and put on the wall, then less blood is better. But if you want to show somebody how your bullet, slug, or broadhead performed on an animal, then the blood is good with me. The more blood the better.....your going to get a quicker kill.

I don't think a person would hunt if it bothered them! He is talking picture taking wise not just blood in general. Personally I like to take a nice photo so I clean up as much blood on the deer as I can. Mainly around the mouth and nose and either the entrance or exit hole. Call me weird, but I like a good picture where the animal looks decent. I see it as bringing respect to the animal.

I never used to care, but then, I never used to bother taking many pictures to share with others either.

I've been trying to take a little more care with cleaning up my pics for my friends to see, as well as for myself.

I don't carry handi-wipes with me in the bush, so It's hard to make photos bloodless. Blood doesn't bother me, but it's kind of nice to see a nicely posed picture, I must admit. ;)

Blood is a byproduct of hunting. I preffer a picture with little to no blood but thats just me. I also prefer pictures in the woods as apposed to in the back of the truck or with the deer hanging etc. But I like the others to if there is nothing else.

The one and only one I'd realy rather not see is the ones with people sitting on the animal. It just seems disrespectfull to me. Fortunaly most if not all of those I see are kids trying to hold up thier trophy. As for that kids with deer is awesome even if they are sitting on them.

Like I have said before I like to see and hear about others success. Blood doesn't bother me or I wouldn't hunt. But I think less makes for a better pic to keep and remeber for years to come.

X2

I voted a little blood is ok, but the less the better in my book.

I also see cleaning up the blood for a photo as being respectful to others (especially nonhunters) that don't like seeing all that blood. Plus it just plain and simple looks better and it doesn't take all that much effort. Might be hard to get a deer really clean in the field, but wiping the mouth with leaves and putting the tongue in the mouth is pretty easy.

Voted a little blood is ok, but really honestly if someone has pics that have a lot of blood it does not bother me one bit. I would have voted the I dont care.

The ones you put on your desk or wall, ect?

I was kind of stuck between the two, but you say pics for your wall and if I am making an effort to take pics for the wall, I want to try to make them look the best I can, and I will stick the tongue in and try to pose the deer.

I do usually if at all possible try to take raw kill shots of the deer where it lays as it lays too just for me.

The way i see it is i could care less if there is 20 gallons of blood in one picture or not even a drop. I think when we start getting like this hunting is going to start getting very lame i hate discussing this stuff that really doesnt mean a darn thing. If we keep acting like this it's going to go down hill just like everything else that has offended someone in some way, like radio, tv, and many other things. Something always offends someone and they cry and complain untill they get their way. Everything has to be so correct. Really who gives a darn on how much blood there is in a picture if you dont like what you see there there is a simple solution DONT LOOK. Just like on tv if there is something that offends you but a lot of other people like to watch it well you dont watch, if there's a show on the radio that offends you and you dont care to hear it turn that little knob and listen to a differant channel. Why debate about something that really doesnt matter at all.

Its part of the process...I do prefer to cleen up the animal before a pic....get the tongue back in the mouth...you will have a much better photo if the pic is taken BEFORE you dress it out...and NOT on the tailgate, and dont RIDE your animal!!...I will not appollogize for blood on the animal, if I miss a little, or have some on my hands, too bad.

I voted: it didnt matter to me..you take your pics ..I'll take mine..no problem

Entry holes or exit wounds are one thing but blood all over the place is a completely different story. That's what i don't like about my pic of my buck. I didn't get to take one in the woods so there is alot more blood in the pic. Kinda sucks.

It's all in opinion though.

I don't usually print pics of my deer kills. If I did, I would try to keep blood to a minimum. Would you want a mount back from the taxidermist with blood on it and the tonge hanging out? Why would a pic be any different?

If the picture is to show the affect of the bullet or broadhead I don't see a problem. That pic of the doe shot with the ballistic tip was wicked cool, but I wouldn't have it on my wall.

One thing that bothers me is an obviously sloppy field dressing job, or when they totally skin the rump. I just don't see that's necessary.

I personally like to have my pictures as clean as possible. It is not always possible to do so and i don't carry towels with me just to clean up the pics. I do push the tounge back in and try to hide the stomach if i have already dressed the deer. I think it matters on the deer and the reason for taking the deer. I don't worry about it as much if it is a doe or a small buck, but when i shoot one i like to show off i try to be sure the pictures are as clean as possible.

I have never even thought about it. Most of my pics were taken after the deer was field dressed or while it was hanging. The thought of how much blood was in the pic just hasn't ever been an issue for me or any one I know for that matter. I voted it doesn't matter to me cause it don't.
