Guest BSinger82
Personally, I did not kill this deer. It was sent to me through e-mail. From my understanding he was taken in Southern Indiana. What a HOSS!

toddyboman
I believe thats actually a additional growth and not antler from another deer. You can see at the end of the antler there is dried velvet There's some pics out there of that buck in velvet and you can see the growth.. Guest bigalt78
i live about twenty minutes from bass pro shops and the guy that worked in the archery section of the store had this picture posted up and he swore up and down that this antler is actually growing out of the deer and i pretty much told him he was an idiot because this is definatley from two deer fighting, but all in all this is a cool pic. johnf
I've seen trail pics of that deer through the growth process. It started out as a nub and grew to that. It is his own growth.

Well, the guy at Basspro was right. As toddyman and johnf have said, there are a number of pictures of this deer circulating and it is the deer's own antler growth. buckee
What an awesome oddity. Here's the story from another site also That Proverbial Poke in the Eye November 20, 2007 This buck and the series of photos that accompanied it have been circulating the internet at a rapid clip, and for good reason - OUCH! At first glance, it might appear that the antler through the eye was the result of a battle with another buck and that the antler is from another deer, broken off during battle. The truth, however, is that this buck had a rare third antler, which grew out of his own eye socket. Either way, there must be easier ways to impress the ladies. http://www.boone-crockett.org/news/trophyWatch.asp?area=news#watch5C5E62D1-ACC3-4D16-BC79-23698BC302B0
