Guest Scottishhunter
5 years old? Surely that must be illegal, they are only kids

stevebeilgard
5 years old? Surely that must be illegal, they are only kids each state is different. in alaska, anyone of any age can shoot big game. must the the same in arkansas. it's 12 in wyoming. but, i'll bet it was totally legal. OJR
If I remember right, WA is anyone under 16 is considered a "youth" but still has to have a license. No minimum age! Idaho the minimum is 10! Steve B. is right, the states vary as to what is the minimum age!

Ambuscher
Youth in Arkansas, 16 yrs and under. They don't even have to buy a tag until they are 16. They do have to have some one with them (within reach) that is at least 21 yrs of age. If they have passed the hunters ed. class they are allowed to hunt with out the aid of an adult. (Within reason.)
Guest swmnk9training
Wow that is awesome, who could have imagined a 5 year old killing a bear like that!
wtnhunt
Wow, the kid was shooting at age 2 and a half and killed 3 deer the year before. 5 years old? Surely that must be illegal, they are only kids No age limit here either. Oldest daughter killed her first deer at 9, she was ready at age 8 and had opportunites then.
