Southerngirl
but haven't got yet?? My dad had a short hair saint bernard when I was little. I have always wanted one but they are WAY to pricey and seldom ever seen for sale. What about the rest of you?

MUDRUNNER
I would say a red bone hound or a brittany spaniel.I always wanted a beagle and that's the dog we have now.
cinch314
Hmm I cant answer this one because Ive had the dogs I wanted. Chihuahua, Blue Heeler, Red Bone Hound Dog, Blue Tick, Collie. I guess if I was to want another one then it would have to be like a Scottish Terrier ( I think that is what they are called).
Guest Finn
Mastiff....would love to have one as they are so gentle, but can't imagine having that horse around all the time.
OJR
I always wanted a beagle! We got one and had her for over 13 years, but had to have her put down! Sad day indeed! Nothing now and probably won't get another dog!

bowin_in_illinois
I know this answer won't make any sense...lol...but I don't like pets, and will never have a dog...but i've always wanted a German shorthaired pointer. Like I said, it doesn't make any sense...lol
Guest adrenaline_junky
Black and Tan Coonhound Well that was what i'd say if i didn't already have three. So if any i would have to say a bloodhound. I love how lazy they are just sittin around all the time.
wtnhunt
We had several different breeds of dogs when I was a kid, and have had a few just a few since. Couple of my favorites were mastiffs and staffordshire terriers(pit bulls). Best dog we ever had has been a half black lab, and half pit bull mix, everyone thought the dog was a rottweiler because of her colors. Guess a greater swiss mountain dog would be cool to have around the farm here, or a german shorthaired pointer or brittney would be a dog I would think would be fun and good with the kids. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I have my dream dog. Growing up, I was TERRIFIED of dogs. so I naver really thought about wanting one, plus the fact that we didn't have much room because we lived in a mobile home my whole life. As I got older They didn't really bother me, when I was about 19 my parents decided to build a house on 6 acres of land, right about then one of my good friends' dog was having pups...they asked if i wanted one, and without asking my parents, I said yes, brought him home, but they didn't seem to mind...8 years later he is still running around here, wouldn't trade him for anything...he is mix between german shepard and chow..mostly chow i think, but his bark is way worse then his bite. here is a pic of him i took a couple weeks ago, wish it was a little better but my camera is on its last leg...he is tied to the front door in this picture cause my little cousins were over and he gets all wound up with them here and would be running around the house at full speed the whole time his name is Grizzly by the way, cause when he was a pup, he kind of looked like a grizzy cub :D

stevebeilgard
I've had Doberman's(3 of them and great dogs!),I now have a Choc Lab.But I've always wanted an English Bulldog forget the bulldog. my daughter has one, and it'd dumber than a sack of rocks. i've had an irish setter, which i'll rate as perfect. i've also had a wonderful black lab. i had a cocker spainie when i was 11, but it bit everyone in the house so my dad got rid of it within 2 months. mean little bugger. i also had a weimeraner, and he was a pretty good dog, but real hyper. they sure can hunt. now, my wife has a fat cat that is good for nothing... except she likes it. . no more dogs for me. after the setter and lab, i can't put another pet down.
