Southerngirl
I am setting up a store as they say it's cheaper than doing listings since I sell the same items over and over (mostly men's camo ties) Any advice? Also I am thinking of setting up the option to donate a portion of my sales to the American Cancer Society. Does anyone else do this? unioncountyslayer
I hate eBay...I have not had one good experience trying to purchase anything from the site.:( That's hard to believe. I use ebay all the time to buy stuff, and do the majority of my Christmas shopping on ebay. Setting up an ebay store is the way to go if you're going to be selling frequently. Not sure about the donation thing, but sounds like a good thing to do, plus a tax write-off. Just make sure you correspond well with buyers and ship ASAP or else they'll close your store and hunt you down!

Southerngirl
well this sux You can donate part of your item's final sale price to a certified nonprofit organization. When you create an eBay Giving Works listing, a $5 minimum donation is required if the item sells Considering the most expensive thing I sell is $15.99 that ain't gonna happen. I thought I could set it to do 10% or something
Airman312
I hate eBay...I have not had one good experience trying to purchase anything from the site.:( Fortunately, I have learned to stay away from ebay by watching other people get screwed when they use it;)
Southerngirl
I don't know what I'd do without it. I'm a single stay at home mom. I have 3 kids, and the X gives me $200 a week, and the family gives me $50 a week for staying at Granny's 2 full days a week plus some time on nights/ weekends. Selling ties and such on ebay helps me pay the bills and it's REALLY helping out here at Christmas time I know Ebay and Paypal can be evil at times but I have learned to make the best of it. Gus
I have bought lots of stuff from ebay, almost all of it was new still with the tags and cheaper than I could get it other places. I have had no problems at all and just starting selling a couple weeks ago. So far I have sold 6 things and no problems with getting the money. After the first of the year I have a few more things that I am going to list.

bulldawg
I was selling part time on ebay up until this past May. My mind got too jumbled to keep up with it after that. A couple of years ago, I made some good money selling. Too many people are selling multiples of everything, which drives the prices way down. Several years ago you could put stuff that you probably would have thrown away on there, and you usually could find a buyer. Now, you have to be flexible. Ebay stores are nice, but adding up all of the fees at the end of the year can turn into a nightmare if you do it as a business.
